1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using CirclesCheck ("Service"), operated by Remora Group LLC ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
CirclesCheck provides anti-money laundering (AML) screening, know-your-customer (KYC) identity verification, and compliance tools via a web dashboard and API. The Service is intended for businesses performing regulatory compliance due diligence.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including API keys. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense access to the Service or its data
- Use the Service to harass, discriminate against, or harm individuals
- Reverse-engineer or scrape the Service
5. Billing and Payments
Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file. Subscription plans include a free trial period; you will not be charged until the trial ends. You may cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Overage charges apply for usage exceeding your plan limits.
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of the data you submit. We process submitted data solely to provide the screening and verification results you request.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. Screening results are informational and should not be the sole basis for compliance decisions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data. You remain responsible for your own compliance obligations.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remora Group LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the email associated with your account. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
